RUNWAY

When Gaurang decided to bring traditional designs onto the runway, many believed it was a mistake. After all, the fashion runway had long been considered a space for contemporary fashion. What place could traditional artforms have there?
Gaurang’s aim, then and now, has remained simple — to show the world that traditional textiles can also be contemporary. They can be just as surprising, refreshing, and exciting as the latest fabrics.
Year after year, this vision has been realized by crafting each runway collection around a central theme — sometimes a technique, sometimes a motif, and sometimes a colour scheme. Through these evolving themes, the collections highlight the vast richness and diversity of handwoven Indian textiles.
